If the season ended today, this is how the NBA Playoff Bracket would appear.

The NBA Playoffs will begin when the regular season ends in slightly more than two weeks.

Even at the start of the season, basketball fans look forward to this period of the year because it's one of the most thrilling in sports.

The playoff picture is becoming increasingly obvious. Though most things are pretty much established,

there are a few teams that are still hanging around on the outside looking in.

First off, a number of teams have been declared officially out of the postseason race already.

The Toronto Raptors, Charlotte Hornets, Detroit Pistons, and Washington Wizards in the Eastern Conference have already seen their chances of making the playoffs vanish.

The San Antonio Spurs, Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz, and Memphis Grizzlies are the only teams in the Western Conference that aren't in contention for the playoffs.

Let's start with the Eastern Conference, where there is no doubt about who will make the playoffs and it is unlikely to change much.
