Lions’ Dan Campbell Doesn’t Hold Back On Steelers’ Justin Field

Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions will no longer face Justin Fields twice a year, after the Chicago Bears moved the quarterback to the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this month.

Campbell is happy to no longer have to meet Fields on a regular basis. "I'm not gonna lie, it's nice to have Fields out of that division,"

Campbell told Ryan Taylor of NBC Sports Chicago. In 2023, the Lions went 1-1 versus Fields and the Bears, with Fields completing 35 of 56 throws for 392 yards and two touchdowns whi

Campbell termed Fields "dangerous" in December, when the young quarterback led Chicago to a 28-13 victory over Detroit.

The Bears selected Fields, who played collegiate football at Ohio State, with the 11th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

During his rookie season, he appeared in 12 games and made 10 starts, throwing for 1,870 yards, seven touchdowns,

and ten interceptions while completing 58.9 percent of his passes and earning a passer rating of 73.2. He also ran for 420 yards and two touchdowns.

The following year, Fields improved slightly, collecting 2,242 yards, 17 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions while completing 60.4% of his throws and earning an 85.2 passer rating.
